Radhanath Swami Apologizes

Radhanath Swami Apologizes

“Sorry, I can’t wait till you finish. I have got an urgent appointment back at the hotel,” Radhanath Swami apologized and I shook my head indicating OK. As I continued with my lunch, Radhanath Swami hurried back. Our generous host, an Oriyan gentleman, served me seconds and then thirds of all the local delicacies  and I stuffed myself with every one of them: my ramble back to the hotel room would digest it all.

Radhanath Swami was invited by this gentleman for lunch, and I being Radhanath Swami’s secretary had come along. We had been staying in a hotel room on this pilgrimage to Jagannath Puri, a holy place in Orissa, eastern India. The room was a twenty minute walk from here, but we had come by car for the sun beats down at noon time in Jagannath Puri.

After lunch, I thanked my host and as I exited, I found our car still parked on the roadside. Radhanath Swami had chosen to walk back in the scorching sun, to avoid inconveniencing me, his secretary.

Radhanth Swami Maharaj is so much simple and always putting others in front of him , despite him being at a higher postion. This teaches us the valuable lesson of how the behaviour of leader needs to be!!

    Hari Bol!!

Thank you Prabhu for sharing such enlightning experience with Gurudev.

We always think of our own selfish motives and our own convinience. Maharaj’s selfless attitude towards devotee’s reflects his true love which is so very rare in this material world.

Despite of such reciprocation of his unlimited mercy, we fail to live up to his expectaions.

This incidence is really very touching.
