Traditionally dressed in the finest of silks, I saw the gentleman peering in through the windshield of the car. I was inside, sprawling on the reclined seat. A smile expanded across his face when he discovered me in the gloom of the car’s interior. Perhaps, I knew why he was here.  I opened the side door and stepped out, and the man respectfully came close. “ Please, we want you up there to dine with us.” I had anticipated that invitation, for this had happened scores of times: I would chauffer Radhanath Swami to someone’s home, and right at their entrance, before he even stepped in, he would send the host for me. “Laxman is sitting in the car. Kindly, first invite him to dine with us.”
